HEADS UP! Program, Mentoring Children of Prisoners

Mission of Mercy Empowerment Center, Inc.  has partnered with Radcliffe Hunter Center for Excellence to implement the HEADS UP! Mentoring Children of Prisoners Program. This program has identified and equipped caring adults to work with young people between the ages of 7 and 14 whose parents are incarcerated. This age group has been identified because they provide the greatest potential for impact. Research has demonstrated that during this developmental stage young people are more pliable, providing a greater opportunity for positive influences. The HEADS UP! Program is partnering with Local Churches to help bring a little more sunshine into the lives of boys and girls whose parents are incarcerated.

This is a program for rolees and probationers who have committed only one offense using a gun
